Mayo Clinic/ASU collaboration agreements

Mayo Clinic and ASU Master Collaboration Agreement, effective December 20, 2013

• The purpose of this agreement is to facilitate research and professional services activities in the areas of medical discoveries and advancing health care in Arizona and nationally. This agreement covers the initiatives: Mayo Clinic and ASU Seed Grant Program, Acceleration Grant Program and Team Science Grant Program, Faculty Summer Residency and Professional Service Agreements (PSAs). • Professional Service Agreements (PSAs) provide the opportunity for ASU faculty to work with and for Mayo Clinic in varying capacities, including research affiliate to adjunct and full faculty appointments. Faculty should expect at least 6-8 weeks to process a joint appointment request.

Mayo Clinic Master Education Collaboration Agreement, effective December 12, 2014

• The purpose of this agreement is to create joint initiatives between Mayo Clinic and ASU so that the parties can leverage their knowledge, skills and technologies in medical, health care and health sciences education. The joint initiatives include: the development of online educational curriculum, courses, modalities and technologies; the establishment of online blended learning medical school curriculum and instructional design, assistance and assessments; the creation of massive online open access curriculum; an online education certificate in science of health care delivery; and other collaborative health sciences courses, curriculum, certificate and degree activities.

Core facilities

Through the alliance, Mayo Clinic and ASU will guarantee each other internal user rates for core facilities. Core rates charged to ASU faculty will be at the established fee schedule, which is aligned with other internal users at Mayo Clinic. Likewise, core rates charged to Mayo faculty will be at the established fee schedule, which is aligned with other internal users at ASU.
