Clarification on Activations backlog from yesterday's meeting
Hello all,
I have gotten a few questions on the when the "activations backlog" will be addressed. To clarify - the beta site is up (we are planning improvements that will improve usability in the next week or so) at: https://ovprea.sharepoint.asu.edu/researchadmin/orspa/Lists/Activations/PendingTab.aspx
You can view what is in the queue for both verification (pulling together the documents) and activation (updating COEUS & opening the accounts in Advantage). You will see there are still quite a few artifacts from the old process (through the SPOs) that were transferred to the new site but are still being validated and opened. We expect this "backlog" or old process types to be done by the end of the month. As of this writing activations are taking about 12 days once all the forms and data have been assembled (aka verified). The process time is already being reduced due to the diligent efforts of the Verificatiosn and Activatios team. We will be adding permanent staff; we are using some "borrowed" or volunteer labor right now. The goal is to have 90% of all regular activations done in 5 business days and rush accounts obviously more quickly. Based on current projections we will be able to routinely meet those goals before the end of the calendar year.
A more detailed memo is forthcoming - but I wanted to make sure I got the clarification out to everyone.
thanks,
H. Anderson
