Printing Overview

Coeus allows users to print current and pending reports, notices of award, proposal summaries, and more. Coeus will always print to your default printer unless you tell it to do otherwise. This tutorial will show you how to print to a different printer and how to take screenshots when no printing options are available.

Changing the Default Printer

To tell Coeus to print to a different printer than your default printer, choose File > Print Setup from the drop-down menu. Print Setup is not available on every screen. For instance, if you are viewing search results in the Award module, you won't be able to access it. If you are not able to access it on the File drop-down menu from the screen you are on, you will need to access it from a different screen.

The Printer Setup dialog box will appear. Select the printer you wish to use at the left. To adjust the settings for the printer selected at the left, click on the Setup button. When you are done, click OK. After you click OK, Coeus will be set to print to the printer you specified. Each time you print, Coeus will print to this printer. However, if you close Coeus and open it up again, it will reset to your original default printer.
If you have the full version of Adobe Acrobat on your computer, you can print to a PDF file by selecting Acrobat PDFWriter as your printer.

Screenshots

Some areas of Coeus do not allow users to print. To get around this problem, you can use screenshots. Screenshots essentially take a picture of what is currently on your screen.

  • To take a screenshot of the entire computer screen, press the PrtScn button on your keyboard.
  • To only take a screenshot of the currently active window, hold down the Alt key and then press the PrtScn button on your keyboard.

Either method will store a screenshot in your computer's clipboard, which you can then paste into another program and print.

Open a new Microsoft Word document and choose Edit > Paste from the menu bar. Your screenshot should appear in the document. Choose File > Print.
