Research and sponsored projects reporting
ORSPA (Office for Research and Sponsored Projects Administration) maintains different ways of reporting on research activities at Arizona State University from annual reports to dynamic charts. University administrators will find the RIS Executive Dashboard is an important tool for forecasting research investment.
- Current Annual Report
- Research Executive Dashboard (ASUrite login required)
- Custom Report (ASUrite login required)
- Year-to-Date Sponsored Project Activity (ASUrite login required)
Research Executive Dashboard
https://webapp4.asu.edu/corda/dashboards/Research/main.dashxml - ASUrite log-in required
Information presented on the Research Dashboard includes data from the ASU grants management system (Coeus), ASU’s financial management systems, and the ASU Foundation. Research and sponsored projects, the Technology and Research Initiative Fund (TRIF) and ASU Foundation funded research activities are now fully integrated into one reporting system. All information is reported according to a standardized organizational roll-up structure that spans all of ASU's campuses, colleges, institutes, departments and centers and accounts for the historical evolution of these entities during their tenure at ASU.
Custom Report (New!)
http://researchadmin.asu.edu/reports/ - ASUrite log-in required
The Custom Report replaces the previous ad hoc reports. The new report offers filtering and sorting on every column. Wildcards (like "John*") and value ranges on dollar amounts (like <80,000) are acceptable query terms. The data comes from the same high-performance system as the dashboards, so results are consistent when aggregated. Users can visualize activities with new graphical charts. Because of the increased speed, reports spanning several years can be generated allowing for a more holistic view of the sponsored project activities.
This standardized approach allows users to generate and view several reports related to sponsored projects. The reports are structured, but users can enter their own query terms.
ASUrite log-in and access to the Sponsored Data Warehouse are required. Submit a DataWarehouse Access request form if you do not have access.
Reports features
- Easy input of parameters to generate accurate reports
- Reports can be exported to Microsoft Excel or viewed as graphs
- Uses the same data structure as the Executive Dashboard
